Jammu, June 10: STC terriers outplayed their opponents BSF Red Demons in all compartments of game to emerge victorious convincingly 46-15.
The winners dominated the proceedings since the very beginning and did not give any opportunity to the opponents. Inderjeet singh, Ritik Khullar and Sahil were brilliant in defence and controlled the defensive rebounds effectively. Trio also grabbed almost all offensive and rebounds and converted them with fair accuracy. They controlled the pace of the game to their advantage and played clinical offense.
For the losers, Nirbhay Jamwal tried to put up a lone battle, but was not allowed to penetrate.
The match was officiated by Harpreet Singh, Sumeet Dogra and Rajesh Bhagat.
DC Jammu, Simarandeep Singh, who was the chief guest on the occasion, gave away prizes to the winners. Those present on the occasion included Ranjit Kalra, Vice Chairman district sports council, S. Teja Singh, Joint Secretary JKBA, parents of the players, officers of the SAI and J&K State Sports Council, sponsors and invited guests.
The 4-day tournament was organized by the STC trainees and coaches under the aegis of STC Jammu, J&K State Sports Council and J&K Basketball Association.
