JAMMU, Nov 20: The Jammu and Kashmir Tug-of-War Association under the presidentship of Hardeep Singh Anand has selected teams to participate in the 16th Sub Junior, 27th Junior and 27th Senior Women National Tug-of-War Championship being held from November 23, 2014 to November 26, 2014 at Chhatterpati Shivaji Stadium in Maharashtra.
The teams were selected by S Hardeep Singh Anand; Ravinder Singh Sasan, general secretary; Kuldeep Gupta, treasurer J&K Olympic Association; Jodh Singh Isher; Jasvir Singh, joint secretary of the Association under the supervision of J&K Sports Council Screening Committee Members at Green Field Ground, Gandhi Nagar, here. These Members included Rajan Sharma, Divisional Sports Officer and Ravi Singh, Sports Officer.
The selected players for the 16th Sub Junior Women Nationals include Gurleen, Sonam, Sandeep, Shruti, Kajal, Natalia, Baljeet, Kavleen and Priyanka.
27th Junior Women Team includes Monica, Sheetal, Neha, Manpreet, Tavleen, Tania, Sapna, Menu and Chanda Rani.
27th Senior Women Team includes Sheetal, Kamini, Sonia, Suman, Usha, Gagandeep, Parvinder, Neha and Rimpy.
Gourav Dubey, Sourav Chopra and Darshan Kour are accompanying the teams as coaches.
Mr Anand, president of the Association distributed kits among the players before their departure which were sponsored by Anand Farms, a unit of Trans Asia Hotels Private Limited.
