JAMMU, Nov 9: Jammu & Kashmir Sports Powerlifting Association after holding selection trials of Powerlifting, Bench-Press and Deadlifting Championship here has selected a team to represent the State in the upcoming Subrata Classic International Powerlifting Championship to be held at Jamshedpur from December 16 to 21, 2014.
The selected players in men’s category include Rakesh Kumar, Pankaj Sharma and Vijay Choudhary, while in women’s category, the selected players included Megha Jain and Irvinder Kour.
“The team has been selected by the Association on merit basis in the presence of Rajan Jain, general secretary, Narinder Singh, secretary, Vinay Sharma, media secretary and Preet Dutta, joint secretary,” informed Vijay Choudhary, Director Ace Chess Academy, Jammu.
