JAMMU, Mar 28: 20th J&K State Open Judo Championship concluded at Indoor Sports Complex, MA Stadium, here today.
Around 200 Judokas from all over the state from the districts of Kathua, Srinagar, Jammu, Udhampur, Reasi and JKP took part in the Championship.
The Championship was organized by J&K Judo Association under the aegis of J&K State Sports Council and J&K Olympic Association.
Kuldeep Singh Jamwal, Sr. Vice President J&K Judo Association was the chief guest on the closing ceremony, while BJP leader Aditi Sharma, DSO Sports Council, Ravi Singh and Manager Indoor Sports Complex, Satish Gupta were the guests of honour.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Varinder Dogra, Shiv Sharma, Rohit Gupta, Rohit Sadhotra, Manish Chatwal, Tahir Malik, Naveen Soodan, Suraj Sharma and Sidharth Sharma.
The bouts were officiated by Suraj Bhan Singh, Arshi Nad, Vikas Dogra, Shafakat Shafi, Ritika Slathuia, Jugal Kishore, Rameshwar Singh and Shweta Thakur.
The championship was held under the chairmanship of Vikas Gupta, General Secretary J&K Judo Association and Joint Secretary Judo Federation of India.
The gold medal winners in different categories included Shubham Sharmna, Mehsheed Mohd, Shashank Baru, Noman Musdhtaq, Rinku Kumar, Sasjan Sharma, Aman Singh, Shivam Sharma, Irfan Latif, Faisal Maqbool, Parmveer Singh, Akshay Sharma, Shivanshi, Adnan, Tanishka, Aditri Thakur, Misbah Nour, Khushi Thakur, Mehromeisa, Fabiya, Tazeem Fayaz, Amrit Gupta, Atul Sharma, Mohdhaseed, Arihant Mahajan, Utkarsh, Ishan Saini, Asif Seaban, Varun Sharma, Rajat Singh, Dharminder Singh and Ujjawal Khajuria.
