JAMMU, Oct 19: Stadium XI thrashed RRL School by 9 wickets in the ongoing Under-14 boys Col RN Chopra Challenge Cup Cricket Tournament, being held at Chopra Academy Grounds, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, RRL School bundled out for a paltry total of 80 runs in 21 overs. Sujeet Kumar and Prathmesh were the main contributors with 17 and 16 runs to the total respectively. For Stadium XI, Vivrant took 2 wickets, while Samad claimed one.
Stadium XI, in reply chased the target easily in 9.5 overs by losing just on wicket, thus won the match by 9 wickets. Ridham and Sanchit Dass played sensibly to score unbeaten 37 and 24 runs respectively, while Kanaya was the only batsman to get out for his individual score of 9 runs.
The tournament is being organized under the supervision of Rakesh Basin, Zabeer Ahmad, Sukomal Ganguly and Deepak Dogra.
Tomorrow Minerva School will take on Sidhant Cricket Academy in Under-12 boys at the same venue.
