Stadium XI Rajouri seals berth in finals; UCC, Rising Star register wins

JAMMU, July 6: Trouncing Manhas Cricket Club by a huge margin in the semifinals, Stadium XI Rajouri sealed berth in the finals, while United Cricket Club Bhaderwah and Rising Star Doda registered big wins in the ongoing District Level JKCA Premier Championship, being organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association at different venues in Jammu province.
At District Police Line ground, Rajouri, Stadium XI defeated Manhas Cricket Club by a big margin of 127 runs.
Batting first, Stadium XI Rajouri scored 222 runs in 27.2 overs. Yaaser Hussain top scored with 27 runs.
In reply, Manhas Cricket Club bundled-out for 95 runs, thus lost the match by 127 runs. Yaaser Hussain of Stadium XI, Rajouri was adjudged as the man of the match.
At Degree College Ground Bhaderwah, United Cricket Club defeated Bhaderwah Cricket Academy by 73 runs. United CC scored 162 runs in 18 overs. Tinku top scored with 52 runs. Bhaderwah Cricket Academy, in reply, collapsed at 89 runs to lose the match by 73 runs.
In another match at this venue, Rising Star Doda crushed City Boys by 105 runs. Rising Star scored 132 runs in 19 overs, while City Boys bundled-out for a paltry total of 27 runs.
Meanwhile, at Sports Stadium Reasi, NCC Reasi defeated Bhawani Katra by a big margin of 89 runs in the semifinal to storm into the finals.
Batting first, NCC Reasi scored 183 runs in 15.2 overs. Pankaj was the top scorer with 55 runs off 38 balls. Vikas took 4 important wickets from Bhawani Katra.
In reply, Bhawani Katra collapsed at 96 runs in 16.1 overs, thus lostthe match by 89 runs.
The Championships are being held under the patronage of Administrators of JKCA namely CK Prasad, retired Justice Supreme Court and Rafat Alam, retired Chief Justice Allahabad High Court, while CEO JKCA, Ashiq Hussain Bukhari is the chairman.
The matches are being held under the overall supervision of JKCA Committee of Members including Retd. Judge Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal and Sham Saroop Kalsotra.
