JAMMU, Feb 22: St John’s Church Bakshi Nagar registered big win over Evengical Church and entered in the final of ongoing 3rd Inter Church Cricket Championship at Alexander Memorial School Ground, here.
St John’s Church Bakshi Nagar defeated Evengical Church by 6 wickets.
Batting first, Evengical Church Eleven scored 111 runs in the allotted 12 overs, losing 5 wickets in the process. Mohit (35), Sabastian (29) and Rahul (23) were the main scorers. Ravi took 2 wickets, while Heaven, Victor and Prince claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, St John’s Church Bakshi Nagar chased the target in 11.2 overs by losing 4 wickets thus won the match by 6 wickets. Christo top scored with 44 runs, while Heaven contributed 28 runs. Rippan, Mantu, Tinku and Rahul took 1 wicket each. Christo was declared as the man of the match. The match was officiated by Amit Attwal, Sandeep Manchanda and Nitish.
