SSP inaugurates JKS Range Cricket C’ship

Jammu, Feb 22: SSP Pawan Parihar inaugurated the JKS Range Cricket Championship for Under-19 boys in presence of SP Rural Sanjay Sharma, SP South Deepak Digra, Arjun Choudhary Managing Partner KC Sports Club, Amrinder Mishra Principal KC Public School , Rajesh Gill Chief Prosecuting Officer and Member Indian Cricket Association, Amit Gupta SDPO West, Kousheen koul SDPO Rural, Swati Sharma Dy.SP Headquarters Jammu, RP Singh and Inspector Ashwani at KC Sports Club Ground here today.
The Championship is being organized by Range Police Headquarters Jammu under the Civic Action Program of Police Headquarters Jammu for the Youth/Under-19 boys of Jammu, Samba & Kathua.
Pawan Parihar SSP & SO to DIG Jammu was the chief guest in the inauguration function, whereas SP Rural Sanjay Sharma and Amrinder Mishra Principal KC Public School were the guests of honour .
The chief guest while speaking on the occasion said that J&K Police is committed to provide platform to the Youth of the UT of Jammu & Kashmir for the overall development in their career building through different sports activities. He also said that he feel happy for the inclusion of two Jammu star cricketers in the IPL and he advised the participant cricketers to work hard in sports, make sports as a career and try to get place in the higher level of Cricket like IPL.
He also spoke with glorifying words for KC Sports Club Jammu for providing lush green ground and turf pitch for conducting the Cricket championship.
Rajesh Gill former Ranji player & Coordinator of the event, presented welcome address and brief detail of the event whereas the inaugural proceedings of the championship were conducted by famous Sports Anchor/Commentator Ritu Pal Singh.
Earlier, in the first match Jammu Superstars defeated Samba Kings by 85 runs.Batting first Jammu Superstars scored 169 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 16 overs game with Surya 34 runs, Rohan Gill 31 runs, Kartik 29 runs and Dhruv Parmar 14 runs. From the bowling side, Aditya and Vansh took 2 wickets while Amir took 1 wicket.
In reply Samba Kings managed to score 84 runs for the loss of 6 wickets with Ragav made 35 runs, Shouraya 18 and Sourav 13 runs. From the bowling side Abay Tondon, Agastaya and Dhruv Parmar took 2 wickets each while Shine took 1 wicket. Dhruv Parmar was declared as man of the match.
In another match Kathua Warriors defeated Samba Sunrisers by 48 runs. Batting first Kathua scored 165 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 15 overs with Nishank 56, Aditya 36 and Nikhal 22. From the bowling side, Archit took 2 wickets, Aranjay and Sourav shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, Samba Sunrisers managed to score 117 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 15 overs with Aranjay 40, Abhijit 27 and Sourav 21 runs thus lost the match by 48 runs.
From bowling side Vansh took 3 wickets, Anubav, Kawalpreet Singh and Nikhal took 2 wickets each . Nishank was declared Man of the Match .
In another match, Jammu Superstars defeated Kathua Royals by 3 wickets. Batting first Kathua Royals scored 109 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 15 overs with Gurmeet 46, Vansh 21 and Janav 15 runs. From bowling side Dhruv, Abay, Amaan, Ishee and Kartik took 1 wicket each.
In reply, Jammu Superstars chased the target in 13 overs by losing 7 wickets thus won the match by 3 wickets . Dhruv 29, Abay Tondon 22 notout, Kartik 21 and Vinayak 20. From the bowling side Munish took 3 wickets, Piyush Saksham and Vansh took 1 wicket. Abay Tondon was declared man of the match.
