JAMMU, Jan 13: J&K SRTC and J&K Bank defeated their rivals convincingly to advance in the ongoing 11th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tournament, being organized by All J&K Christian Welfare Association, under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) at GGM Science College Football ground, here.
In the first match, J&K SRTC defeated J&K United Football Club by a solitary goal to enter the quarterfinals, while in another match, J&K Bank got the better of Kanwal Sports Anantnag by two goals to nil (2-0). The first goal was scored by Adnan in 52nd minute, while Johny Kumar netted the second goal for the Bank team.
The match was officiated by Hilal Punjabi, Ricky Sharma, Rinku Gill, Mohan Stephen, Rakesh Kumar, Ricky Kumar and Mohinder Kalsi.
In tomorrow’s fixture, J&K Police will face Shaheen FC at 1 pm, while J&K PDC will take on JK Bank Academy at 3 pm.
