JAMMU, Feb 28: Sri Guru Gobind Singh Public Higher Secondary School Kunjwani Talab, Jammu celebrated the Annual Day cum Prize Distribution Function in school auditorium here today. ID Soni, State commissioner Bharat Scouts & Guides was the chief guest on the occasion, while Shreyansh Jain and Asha Chandan, Co-ordinator Rotary Clubm Inner Wheel Jammu were the guests of honour. Prof Harbans Singh Chairman of the school presided over the function.
The function commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest, which was followed by Saraswati Vandana.
The welcome address and annual report was presented by the Principal of school Gurtaj Singh.
Students presented a variety of cultural items on this occasion.
The function named ‘LUMIERE 2019″ included a series of theme performances ranging from ‘devotion to family values’, ‘patriotism’, ‘unity in diversity’, ‘parental love’, besides other social issues.
It was followed by prize distribution ceremony wherein the chief guest bestowed prizes to the most deserving students and motivated all to keep working hard with sincere endeavours.
Mr Soni in his address applauded the talent of students and congratulated them for their academic performances. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks presented by Charanjeet Kour, Administrator of the school.
