JAMMU, Oct 26: Springdales School Lower Muthi won the title trophy, while Sai Shyam School, Ghou Manhasa Road Jammu emerged runners-up in the 1st Jammu District Muay Thai Championship, organised by Jammu District Muay Thai Association in collaboration with Ramakrishna Mission at Swami Vivekananda Auditorium Hall, Udhaywala, here.
The Championship was inaugurated by the chief guest, Sukhnandan Choudhary, former Minister in an impressive function.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest lavished praise on the organisers for holding the Championship to provide opportunity to young talent for showcasing their skill.
The event was organised under the overall supervision of Joginder Singh, President, Jammu District Muay Thai Association; Nihal Khajuria, Technical Director and Keshav Singh, General Secretary of the Association.
Principal Sai Shyam School, Anita Ganjoo congratulated the medal winners and lauded their efforts for this achievement.
The School won 15 medals, with 9 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze.
The gold medal winners included Natasha, Richa, Shia and Neharika (all girls); Sajal, Vikas, Ayush, Karan and Chanderhas (all boys).
