UDHAMPUR, June 10: Up in arms against non-completion of the Subash Sports Stadium in Udhampur and lack of facilities there, locals and sportsperson held a strong protest demonstration, here today.
They raised slogans for seeking facilities at the stadium, which even lacks drinking water, washroom and change room etc.
Cricket players Ajay Kumar, Rajesh Gupta and Prince Mehra alleged that sewerage from adjoining houses flows towards the stadium ground while waste material is thrown there by the neighbours
According to the Manager Sports Council Udhampur, Shaktyesh Chopra, due to absence of boundary wall, there was no security system in the stadium while this has been conveyed to the higher authorities for completion of the works and raising facilities.
