JAMMU, Oct 7: Speedsters Ramdayal Punia, Rohit Sharma and Asif Rasool sparkled as JKCA bundled out Gujarat for a paltry total of 128 runs in the first innings of the final of the Bhausaheb Nimbalkar Cricket Tournament, being organized by Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) at Pune.
J&K, in reply were 106 for the loss of 4 wickets, with Paras Sharma on 17 and Gokul Baru on 3 when the stumps were drawn today.
Batting first, Gujarat collapsed at 128runs in 51.1 overs as medium fast bowling trio of JKCA wrecker Havoc. Jai Desai was the top scorer with 33 runs, while Chirag Gandhi, Sameet Goel, Jasel Karia and Salil Yadav contributed 19, 18, 13 and 13 runs to the total respectively. For JKCA, skipper Ramdayal Punia scalped 4 wickets by conceding 54 runs in 18.1 overs, while Rohit Sharma claimed 3 by giving away 39 runs in his 18 overs and Asif Rasool captured 3 wickets and gave away 32 runs in his 15 overs.
In reply, JKCA were 106 for 4 at the draw of stumps today. The batsmen back into the pavilion were Adil Reshi (3), Sidharth Magotra (22), Bandeep Singh (27) and Owais Shah (20), while Paras Sharma and Gokul were at the crease.
