Speedball Association honours Nanda, players

JAMMU, Dec 10: In an impressive function, organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Speedball Association, Sunny Nanda and other four speedball players of J&K were honoured, here today.
The function was organized by J&K Sports Speedball Association, wherein ADGP Navin Agarwal, who happens to be the chief patron of J&K Sports Speedball Association, was the  chief guest, while Pawan Kotwal, Divisional Commissioner Jammu and Rakesh Sharma were the special guests.
Sunny Nanda and two other players had participated in 27th World Speedball Championship held at Poland.
On the occasion, J&K Sports Speedball Association honoured Rakesh Sharma who was awarded as the best national officer by the Indian Government and 3 players who participated in 61st National School Games held in Chhattisgarh.
Amandeep from GD Goenka won bronze medal in junior super solo at Poland, while Sunny Nanda had won two bronze medals in senior relay and men’s doubles match at Poland. Gurmanjeet Singh won gold medal at Chattisgarh in singles and Ankit Sharma and suryansh also won bronze medal in men double match at Chhattisgarh. SP Langer, chief advisor, VK Sharma, advisor, VK Gupta, vice president and Anil Nanda, president were present on the occasion.
