Sopore emerges winner of Independence Cup

BARAMULLA, Aug 12: Government Higher Secondary School for Boys Sopore scripted win in Football Under-19 tournament and lifted the title trophy of Independence Cup, played at Government Degree College Ground, here today.
The Government Higher Secondary School for Boys trounced Government HSS for Boys Baramulla by four goals to three (4-3) via tie breaker.
About 36 teams of various Higher Secondary Schools of Baramulla district participated in the Independence Cup which was inaugurated on August 6. The tournament was organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports under the supervision of DYSSO Baramulla.
