JAMMU, Nov 3: Five cueists sailed into the pre-quarters in the ongoing Senior Snooker, being organized during the ongoing 27th Sub Junior, Junior and Senior Billiards and Snooker Championship at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here today.
The cueists, who entered pre-quarters, are Sohail Khalid, Adnan Lone, Vishal Abrol, Ansh Chopra and Arjun Singh.
In the first match today, Sohail Khalid defeated Varun Jamwal by 3-1 frames (44-11, 27-47, 47-74 and 43-26) and entered into pre-quarters.
In the second match, Adnan Lone registered win over Nikhil Kapahi by 3-2 frames (50-42, 58-25, 37-58, 60-72 and 63-37) and sailed into pre-quarters.
Vishal Abrol outplayed Amit Swahney by 3-1 frames (618, 41-48, 57-28 and 59-20) in the third match and entered into pre-quarters.
In the fourth match, Ansh Chopra beat Rohit Choudhary by straight 3-0 frames (46-40, 56-50 and 56-06) and registered berth in the pre-quarters.
Arjun Singh outclassed Shubam Dubey by 3-2 frames (66-45, 36-62, 18-64, 42-38 and 43-56) in the fifth game and entered into pre-quarters.
It is pertinent to mention here that 27th Sub Junior, Junior and Senior Billiards and Snooker Championship is being organized by J&K Billiards and Snooker Association under the aegis of J&K State Sports Council.
