JAMMU, Sept 2: To monitor, review and evaluate implementation of Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan (RGKA) in Jammu and Kashmir, the State Government has constituted a State Level Executive Committee (SLEC).
The committee, headed by Chief Secretary as its Chairperson, shall approve the District Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan (RGKA) Mission Plan and Annual Action Plans besides finalizing the State RGKA Mission Plan and Action Plan for creation of sports infrastructure and drawing up annual calendar of competitions.
The SLEC shall also appoint reallocate the resources within the State under overall mission guidelines and appoint State Technical Consultants. It will give overall guidance and directions and also nominate the additional members.
Serviced by the Technical Education and Youth services & Sports Department, the committee shall be comprised of Administrative Secretaries of Planning & Development Department, Science and Technology, Department of Rural Development and Panchayti Raj, Technical Education & Youth Services and Sports Department, Director General Youth Services and Sports, State Mission Director, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan, Deputy Commissions of Pulwama, Jammu, Leh, Doda, Srinagar, Kargil and Kupwara, Secretary J&K State Sports Council, Regional Coordinator Sport Authority of India, Zonal Director Nehru Yuva Kendra Sanghathan, State Technical Consultant, RGKA and three representatives from State Sports Federation.
