SKCC wins Peace Cricket Series

JAMMU, Aug 4: Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Club (SKCC) lifted the 3-Match Peace T-25 Cricket Series by 2-0, defeating Sunrisers Warrior Cricket Club (SWCC) in the summit clash by 21 runs at RS Pura ground, here today.
Earlier, Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Club led by Aman Cheema won the toss and elected to bat first. Skipper Cheema top scored with 50 runs off 41 balls to help his team score a challenging total. Rohit Jatt scored power-packed 32 off 19 balls and Rohan contributed quick-fire 29 runs of 19 balls. For SWCC, Parul scalped 3 wickets while Mohsin, Sunny and Mussafar shared 2 wickets each.
SWCC, in their run chase suffered initial blows, however, Mohsin (33 runs in 22 balls) and Parul (31 runs off 25 balls) helped SWCC to recover as the duo scored 58 runs in the batting power-play. Later, SWCC could not held their nerves under pressure and got collapsed like house of cards as they ended up on 154-courtesy the disciplined bowling performances by SKCC bowlers.
Anmol took 2 wickets while Jimmy, Rohan, Ravi, Pankaj and Naveen took 1 wicket each. Aman S Cheema from SKCC was declared as the man of the match.
Providing rural youth a platform to showcase their talent, Peace Series T-25 Cricket tournament witnessed some thrilling matches.
