JAMMU, Mar 18: Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Club (SKCC) registered 12 runs win over Media-XI Cricket Club in a nail biting friendly match played at MA Stadium, here today.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, SKCC led by Aman Cheema set a target of 165 runs by losing only 4 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Manmohan Khajuria played a splendid inning of 60 runs, while Anil contributed 30 runs to the total. Sachin made 25 runs and Aman Cheema also hit 20 runs.
For Media-XI Cricket Club side, Zahid, Yash Khajuria and Desh Raj scalped one wicket apiece.
In the second inning, Media-XI Cricket Club players tried their level best to win the match, but could made only 153 runs by losing 9 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Sunil Bali played a fine inning of 33 runs, while Ashwani scored 27 runs. Overcoming the initial loss, Media-XI collected 30 runs in the power play.
Bawa Barjinder Singh displayed good bowling skills and conceded only 20 runs in his 4 overs spell, while Anmol Manhas and Sachin scalped 3 wickets each. Jimmy also took 2 wickets.
Media-XI lost these wickets in the middle overs, which turned the match towards SKCC side.
Sachin of SKCC was adjudged as Man of the Match for his magnificent all round performance.
