JAMMU, June 11: Sixth group of Tawi Trekkers J&K comprising 40 students, all girls of Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar left today for Moungri to participate in the Silver Jubilee Himalayan Trekking Programme being organized by Tawi Trekkers J&K.
The group is being led by General Secretary of Tawi Trekkers Shawetica Khajuria, a trained mountaineer and a national Judge in Sport Climbing.
Three teachers of the school Anuradha, Jagdeep Kour and Amarjeet Singh and a member of the club Puneet Sharma also accompanied the group.
The group was flagged off by Principal of the School Rameshwar Mengi in the presence of Secretary, Indian Mountaineering Foundation North Zone Committee Ram Khajuria and staff members of the school.
