JAMMU, Oct 24: Simula Sports Club registered convincing win by 30 runs over Singh Akhnoor Cricket Club in the ongoing 6th Eid-Diwali Milan T20 Cricket Cup, being played at KC School ground, here.
The tournament in which 12 teams are participating is being organized jointly by Simula Club, KC Sports Club and J&K Sports Promoters Club.
Earlier, Batting first, Simula Sports Club scored 142 runs in the stipulated 20 overs for loss of 6 wickets. Atul (48), Shashi (25) and Hardeep Singh (18) were the main scorers. From Singh Akhnoor, Sham Singh Langey and Cheeku took 2 wickets each, while Sunil and Yasir claimed 1 wicket each.
Singh Akhnoor Club, in reply could not achieve the target and made 112 runs to lose the match by 30 runs. Yasir (36), Rahul (22) and Chandan (14) were the main scorers. From Simula Sports Club, Kuldeep was the pick of the bowlers, who took 3 wickets, while Hilal Rather and Hardeep Singh claimed 2 wickets each. Sahil and Raman Dutta claimed1 wicket each. Atul Sharma was declared as the man of the match.
The match was officiated by Saleem-Ur-Rehman, Sadiq Hussain Malik and Sandeep Manchanda.
