REASI, Mar 7: Star-studded Simula Cricket Club thrashed Nagrota Cricket Club by a big margin of 60 runs to advance in the ongoing Reasi Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Reasi Cricket Club at Sports Stadium, here.
Batting first, Simula Club scored a decent total of 183 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 4 wickets in the process. Atul Sharma and Bandeep Singh slammed brilliant half-centuies, while Dhruv Mahajan contributed valuable 34 to the total. Atul made 79 runs, while Bandeep Singh scored 51 runs.
For Nagrota Club, Kousar was the wrecker-in-chief, who scalped 3 important wickets, while Maan claimed one wicket.
In reply, Nagrota Club managed to score 123 runs by losing 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs, thus lost the match by a big margin of 60 runs. Rockey (25), Parvez (24), Rakesh (16) and Madan (11) were the main contributors. Sameer Khajuria was the pick of the bowlers for Simula Club, scalping 3 wickets, while Mohit Puri claimed two.Bandeep Singh, hruv Mahajan and Vivek claimed one wicket each. Atul Sharma was adjudged man of the match for his brilliant knock of 79 runs.
The match was officiated by Nishu Magray and Rocky as umpires, while Kaka was the scorer. The tournament is being held under the overall supervision of Nadeep Bhat, Vikas Sharma and Vikas Baru.
