JAMMU, Apr 3: Scripting 9-wicket win over JRA Jallandhar in last match of the 3-Match Series, Sidhant Cricket Academy lifted the title trophy of the I-Tech Emperor’s Cup and won the Series by (2-1) at MA Stadium, here today.
MLA Rajesh Gupta was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who was introduced with both the teams on the occasion. He distributed trophies and other prizes among the winners and runners-up teams on the occasion.
Earlier, in today’s match, JRA Jalandhar winning the toss and batting first scored a decent total of 152 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 25 overs.
In reply, Sidharth Cricket Academy chased the target in 20 overs by losing one wicket. Achintya Khajuria scored unbeaten 81 runs and was declared as man of the match for his brilliant knock. Chitwan scored unbeaten 50 runs.
Achintya of Sidhant Cricket Academy was adjudged as man of the series for his brilliant performance in the tournament, while Manit of JRA Jallandhar was declared as the best batsman of the Series. Jitender Pal Singh of Sidharth Cricket Academy was adjudged as the best all-rounder and Aryan Sharma of JRA Jallandhar was declared as the best bowler of the tournament.
The Tournament was organized by Varinder Sharma, In-charge Sports Authority of India (SAI) Training Centre, MA Stadium, Jammu.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were CSO J&K State Sports Council, Haji Abdul Qayoom; Divisional Sports Officer, Ravi Singh; Sports Council Mangers Ashok Singh, Naveen Sharma and Satish Gupta and Sports Authority of India’s Badminton Coach, Satpal Sharma.
