SRINAGAR, Sept 8: Shopian Hockey Club and Bharamshah Hockey Club Anantnag defeated their rivals convincingly in the Senior Hockey Tournament District Srinagar 2017, being organized by Hockey J&K and sponsored by J&K State Sports Council at Polo ground, here.
In the 1st match, Shopian Hockey Club defeated Frontier Hockey Club Rainawari by 1-0, while in another match Bharamshah Hockey Club Anantnag outplayed Pulwama Hockey Club 4-0.
Officials of the match included Rafiq Baba, Gurdeep Singh Sangral, Mohd Ameen, Avtar Singh and Sameer Ahmed.
Earlier, RGN Wani, Vetern hockey player was the chief guest and Gurdial Singh was the guest of honour.
