Shining Star smashes Kings XI Khari, lifts cricket tournament title

RAMBAN, May 6: Continuing its efforts to spread peace and harmony among the people, Army organised a cricket tournament under Operation Sadbhavana here in Harniyal village of Khari Tehsil.
Twenty teams of Khari Tehsil participated in the tournament, which were provided with all the necessary items along with kit by the Army.
Mohammad Yasin, Market President of Khari said that the Tournament turned out to the great success as the youths of Ramban district participated with great zeal, enthusiasm and sportsman spirit.
“It is an endeavour of the Indian Army to provide opportunity to the youth to fine-tune their sporting skills”, said an Army official.
The final of the Tournament was played between Kings XI Khari and Shining Star of Ahma today which was won by Shining Star of Ahma by 1 wicket in a nail-biting match which was witnessed by a huge number of spectators.
Over 250 players participated in the tournament which ran over a period of seven days.
On the occasion, cash prizes along with trophies were distributed among the winners and runners-up teams.
