JAMMU, Oct 2: Working Committee Member Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) Sham Saroop Kalsotra has resigned from JKCA as Member, Committee of Members, here today.
“It is with a heavy heart and sad mind that I am taking this step of opting out of JKCA Cricket Committee that was appointed to facilitate the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to run the affairs of the Association. Left with no other option I don’t want to be part of something which is not being done as per the laid down rules and norms,” Sham has expressed in a resignation letter addressed to the Administrator J&K Cricket Association, Srinagar.
According to the letter, the reasons for his resignation include that the Committee Members are just a frill or an ornament attached to the Association and hardly consulted on cricketing matters; non-implementation of Lodha Committee Recommendations and undue intervention of Player cum Mentor of J&K Ranji Trophy team, Irfan Pathan in cricketing affairs of JKCA.
