Shaheen FC to take on Hero Club in summit clash

JAMMU, Apr 26: Shaheen Football Club today sailed into the final beating fighting Young Rovers 4-3 via tie-breaker in the Ist Arun Kumar Memorial Gold Cup Football Tournament, organised by Climrate Football Club at Mini Football Stadium, Parade, here.
In the stipulated time, the match ended in a goalless draw with both the sides made numerous attacks and counter attacks but failed to convert them into goal.
In today’s second semifinal, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba, Dr Koushal Sharma was chief guest. He had an interaction with the teams, officials and the organising committee and enjoyed the competitive game of two top local football clubs.
Treasurer of J&K Football Association (JKFA), Surinder Singh Bunty and Dr Kishore Sharma were guests of honour.
Now, in the final, Shaheen FC shall take on another emerging side of Hero Club at the same venue on April 28 at 4 pm.
In the final and valedictory function, Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma has consented to be the chief guest while AIG Personnel PHQ, Rajeshwar Singh (SSP) and Staff Officer Sports, PHQ, Dushyant Sharma (SSP) shall be guests of honour.
Today’s semifinal officiated by the technical penal including Vijay Kumar, Dil Bahadur, Ajay Singh and Suresh Gupta.
