JAMMU, Jan 18: Shabir Nengroo and Arjun Chowdhary scored brilliant half-centuries to help KC Sports Club thrash Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy by a big margin of 95 runs in the ongoing KC Sports Club Cricket Cup at KC School ground, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, KC Sports Club scored 215 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Shabir Nengroo top scored with brilliant 76 runs, while skipper Arjun Chowdhary contributed magnificent 59 runs. Both the batsmen hit some crispy boundaries with utmost timing, elegance, grace and brilliance. Abhishant Bakshi also made valuable 46 runs. From MGCA, Ayush took 2 wickets, while Aquib claimed 1 wicket.
While chasing a huge target, MGCA collapsed at 120 runs, thus lost the match by a big margin of 95 runs. Santosh and Akram contributed 29 and 21 runs to the total respectively. From KCSC, Arjun Chowdhary was the pick of the bowlers, who took 2 important wickets, while Sawan, Sahil and Abhishant claimed 1 wicket each. Shabir Nengroo of KCSC Senior team was declared as the man of match for his brilliant batting display.
