SFC Football Tourney: Red Devils wins title trophy

JAMMU, Sept 14: Red Devils Football Club defeated Black & White FC by 2 goals to nil in the SFC Football Tournament and lifted the title trophy, organised by the Sidhra Football Club at Forest Stadium, here today.
The winning team was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 7,500 along with medals. Five Football Clubs including Red Devils FC, Black & White FC, Nepotism FC, Escam FC and RGC United FC were part of the tournament.
In the deciding match of the competition, the Red Devils easily won the title of champions by defeating Black & White FC by 2-0 goals in a one-sided match. Throughout the match, the team of Red Devils FC completely dominated the rival team.  It was evident from the fact that the winning team had never lost any single match during their four matches of the tournament. The funny thing is that no team has managed to score even a single goal against the Red Devils.
Sarmad was declared as man of the tournament for scoring the maximum seven goals during the event, whereas Vaibhav Abrol of Red Devils Football Club was adjudged the best goalkeeper in the competition.
In the semi-finals matches, Red Devils FC had defeated Eskam FC by 2-0 goals. In the second semi-final match, Black & White FC trounced RGC United FC by 1-0 goal to reach the deciding round.
In the competition, Black & White FC defeated Eskam FC in penalty shoot to finish third. Earlier, both the teams had scored 2-2 goals against each other in the stipulated time.
Haritabh, Wasim, Chandan, Fahad, Haroon and Mithu were the referees in the competition.
