Seven matches played in ongoing 72nd All India Police Hockey C’ship

JAMMU, Jan 31: In the ongoing 72nd All India Police Hockey Championship organized by J&K Police here seven matches were played today.
In match played between Kerala Police and Railway Protection Force, Kerala Police won by 5-0. One goal was scored by Praveen Kumar, another one by Midhun and three other goals were scored by Haridass M.
Haridass M was declared as Player of the Match and chief guest of the Match was Kulbir Chand Handa, SSP, IRP 18th Bn.
In match played between Haryana Police and BSF, BSF won by 7-1 goals. Hatinder Singh scored three goals, two goals were scored by Vishal Sharma, one goal was scored by Kanwarpal Singh and one by Amit Saroha.
Hatinder Singh scored second hatric of this championship and was declared ‘Player of the Match’.
The chief guest of the match was Rajesh Sandal, SP IRP-12th Bn.
In match played between SSB and Chhattisgarh Police, SSB emerged winner by 14-0 goals. Divit Bisht scored five goals, L Joychandra Singh scored one, A Santi Kumar Sharma scored two goals, two goals were scored by Praveen Chauhan, one by Amit Kumar and two by Ajit Singh and one by Naveen Kumar.
Divit Bisht was declared Player of the Match and chief guest of the match was Mohammad Ibrahim, SP, IRP-12th Bn.
In match between Chandigarh Police and Gujarat Police, Gujarat Police won by 2-0 goals. Kaushik Bhai Rathva scored one goal and another goal was scored by Rohit Bhai Thakur and Rohit Bhai Thakur was declared Player of the Match and chief guest of the match was Nasir Ahmad, SP, IRP 7th Bn.
In match played between Uttar Pradesh Police and Uttarakhand Police, Uttar Pradesh Police won by 15-0. Ankit Kumar Prajapati scored two goals, one goal was scored by Shakib Mewati, three goals were scored by Haris Mohammad, seven goals were scored by Arun Sahani, one by Rahul Yadav and another one by Rajiv Ranjan.
Arun Sahani was declared as Player of the Match and chief guest of the match was Sachin Gupta, SP, 1st Border Bn.
For women cops match was played between Himachal Pradesh Police and Tamil Nadu Police in which Tamil Nadu Police won by 5-0 goals. Sathiya Priya scored 1st goal, 2nd goal was scored by Sathiya Thikka, 3rd and 4th goals were scored by Shobiga Raghai and 5th goal was scored by Rajina.
Kalavahit was declared as Player of the Match and chief guest of the match was Rajni Sharma, SP IRP 1st Bn.
In another match of women cops played between Maharashtra Police and Gujarat Police, Maharashtra Police team was leading by 2 goals till last reports.
