Semis lineup drawn in Volleyball Tourney

JAMMU, Feb 20: Semifinals position has been cleared with Volley  ball Clubs-Allah-A, Allah-B, Salehar-A and Kaku-de-Kothey entering the last four stages  in the Volleyball Tournament, which is being organized by J&K Police under the aegis of Civic Action Programme.  22 teams are participating in the Tournament, which is being played on league cum knockout basis.  S Randheer Singh, SP Headquarters Jammu highlighted that the people of border areas have suffered due to constant firing from across the border and the Tournament was organized to provide platform to the youth of these areas.
Further, deliberating on the aims and objectives of the Tournament, he maintained that J&K Police has launched various schemes, and is involving youths in sports and cultural activities to sensitize them against the evil effects of the drugs and criminal activities.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were S Devinder Singh, SDPO R S Pura and Inspector Narinder Singh Jamwal, SHO P/S Bishnah.
