Leh, July 2: Secretary Sports, UT Ladakh, Ravinder Kumar visited the Astroturf Stadium, Ice Hockey stadium and NDS Stadium and inspected the progress of ongoing works at Leh. He was accompanied by Director Youth Services and Sports Officer, Leh, officers of the PDD, PHE and CPWD.
Secretary Ravinder gave directions to the concerned executing agency to complete the ongoing works within the stipulated time frame. He directed the CPWD officers to install chairs at Astroturf Stadium on priority and make toilets functional within 15 days.
He asked the PDD to give electricity transmission line to the stadium within 3 months and directed the PHE to make the bore well functional at the stadium, so that adequate water will be available for the sportspersons.
Later, he visited Ice Hockey Stadium and inspected the progress of ongoing works at Ice Hockey Stadium Leh and he instructed the CPWD officer to finish the roofing works of the stadium within three months.
