JAMMU, Feb 26: Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, Government of India, Anita Karwal inaugurated Art and Science Exhibition at Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, here today
Manish Garg, Joint Secretary, Department of Holistic Education, School Education and Literacy, Nidhi Pandey, Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Vinayak Garg, Commissioner Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, VK Verma, Deputy Secretary, School and Literacy Department Jammu and Altaf Khan Senior Consultant MoE, GoI were also present during the event.
All the guests were welcomed by the Deputy Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Jammu division, Dr D Manjunath, followed by a floral tribute paid to the father of nation, Mahatma Gandhi.
The Secretary also interacted with the students and answered the questions of the children on ‘Education Policy’ and other subjects. The children asked some questions about the future, which were addressed by the Secretary.
The Secretary also held virtual dialogue with Principals of Jammu division Schools and discussed in detail about various topics related to school education, challenges and their future solutions. She also shared her views about the essential things of the ‘National Education Policy-2020’ and how to implement them in Schools.
The program was concluded with the vote of thanks by GS Mehta, Assistant Deputy Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Jammu division. A plantation drive was also carried out by the officials in the School premises.
Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Amit Walter and other Principals, teachers and students of the schools located in the periphery of the Division were also present.
