Secy inaugurates District Sport Climbing C’ship

JAMMU, Mar 12: Secretary J&K Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul inaugurated Jammu District Sports Climbing Championship at Sprawling Buds ICSE School, Bantalab, here today.
She announced that an international standard sport climbing wall shall soon come up in Jammu.
Shining Star Academy Muthi won all the medals in the junior boy’s category and gold and a bronze medal in the junior girl’s category. Sahil Kumar, Gourav Bhagat and Sapna Ranjan secured top three medals respectively in the junior boys, while Sukriti Kumari and Namrita Singh won gold and a bronze medal respectively in the junior girls and silver medal was bagged by Pallavi Katoch of Neel Kamal High School.
In the mini boys category, Vishno Sharma and Laksh Khajuria of Sarovar Academy Surinsar secured gold and silver medals. The bronze medal was bagged by Pranav Sharma of Nav Yug HSS and in sub junior girls, the first position was secured by Jennie Bhagat of BVM HSS, 2nd and 3rd positions were bagged by Radhika Sharma of Sarovar Academy Surinsar and Mansavi Magotra of Shastri Memorial HSS Patoli.
The District competition is being organized by Mountaineering Association of J&K in collaboration with Sprawling Buds ICSE School Jammu and sponsored by J&K Sports Council.
Prominent people including Parveen Sharma, Prof Lalit Magotra, Dr Zafar Iqbal, Rahul Sharma, Ramesh Khajuria, Seema Sharma, Zorawar Singh Jamwal and many others were present during the event.
