JAMMU, Nov 1: Shiva Eleven Cricket Club (SECC) RS Pura defeated Ashram Eleven Cricket Club (AECC) Diagana in the 2nd Diwali T-20 Cup, being organized by Youth Welfare Association Cricket Club, Simbal Camp at Government Boys High School, Simbal Camp, here.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Shiva Eleven Cricket Club made 147 by losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. Jimmy scored 80, Goldy 23 and Kishore 10 runs only.
For Ashram Eleven Cricket Club Diagana, KD Singh scalped 2 wickets by giving away 25 runs in 4 overs, while Deepak, Gagan and Popinder Singh took one wicket each.
While chasing Ashram Eleven Cricket Club bundled-out in 18 overs scoring 107, thus lost the match by 40 runs. Gagan (28), Popinder Singh (21) and KD Singh (12) WERE the main contributors. Jimmy scalpel 3 wickets by giving away 20 runs in 4 overs, while Gourav Sharma also took 3 wickets by conceding 19 runs in 4 overs.Goldy took 2 wickets in 3 overs. Jimmy of SECC was adjudged as man of the match for his all-round performance.
The match was officiated by Kulbir Singh and Harcharan Singh as umpires, while GurvinderPal Sngh maintained the scoreboard.
The winner team will be given cash prize of Rs 15000,while runners-up team and outstanding Performers will also be awarded.
