JAMMU, July 20: All India Inter State Championship was organized by Sports Development Board India (SDBI) at Indoor Auditorium, Jammu University, here.
The event was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Jammu University, Prof Manoj K Dhar along with guest of honour, SSP Dushyant Sharma.
The function began with welcome dance, followed by the lighting of the traditional lamp by Prof Dhar, SSP Dushyant Sharma, Baba Chanchal, Deepu Ranotra Sr Journalist and President Power 20 Cricket Federation along with Er Dalbir Singh Chib, SSP Jammu Tajinder Singh and SP South Vinay Kumar.
Teams of different sports from different States participated in All India inter-state championship today.
While interacting with media VC Jammu University said that such type of interstate championships should be promoted on a big level.
SSP Dushyant Sharma also said youth should be encouraged to take part in games and sports, which will help them not to derail from the mainstream.
State President Power 20 Cricket Federation and Sr Journalist Deepu Ranotra were also present on the occasion.
President SDBI Gourav Arora arranged all games like Kabaddi, Boxing, Wrestling, Taekwondo, Basketball, Football, Skating, Athletics, Badminton, Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Archery etc.
General Secretary Ajay Sharma, Organizing Secretary Tinder Singh, Rohit Kumar, Harish Kumar and Daljit Singh were also present.
