JAMMU, Dec 7: Getting the better of Young Cricket Club by a margin of 14 runs in the summit clash, SCC lifted the title trophy of the Jammu District Tennis Ball Cricket Championship, organised by Jammu District Tennis Ball Cricket Association at Green Field ground, Gandhi Nagar, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, SCC scored 52 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 8 overs. Surinder top scored with 21 runs off 16 balls.
In reply, Young Cricket Club managed to score 38 runs by losing 7 wickets in 8 overs, thus lost the match by 14 runs. Gulshan was the top scorer with 13 runs.
In semifinals, Young Cricket Club drubbed Young Guns Cricket Club by 3 runs and SCC trounced Green Field Cricket Club by 21 runs.
Later-on, Secretary Jammu District Tennis Ball Cricket Association, BK Tickoo distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams.
The objective of the tournament was to select the team for Inter-Division State Level Competition.
