SCC defeats GCC by 117 runs

JAMMU, July 25: Sharda Cricket Club (SCC) defeated Gopinath Cricket Club (GCC) with a big margin in a one sided match played today at KC Sports Club in 1st KPL Pink Ball Cricket Tournament.
Batting first, SCC set a target of 171 runs for the opponent by losing 9 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Akshay scored 37 runs in 32 balls whereas Akash made 29 runs in 23 balls and Vishal scored 24 runs in 13 balls. For GCC, Sunil bowled exceptionally and took 3 important wickets by conceding only 19 runs in his 4-over spell while Balji also scalped 2 wickets.
In reply, GCC failed to chase the target and bundled out on a paltry total of 54 runs in 12.4 overs. Thus, GCC lost the match to SCC by a huge margin of 117 runs. Vicky made 24 runs for the team while Shelly scored 7 runs. For SCC, both Vishal and Ronak scalped 2 wickets each. Vishal was adjudged as man of the match for his impressive performance with the ball as well as bat.
