JAMMU, June 8: Samar Cricket Club defeated Ishar Cricket Club by 5 wickets to sail into the semifinals of the 2nd Kartar Singh Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Diamond Cricket Club at Boys High School Simbal Camp, near here.
Batting first, Ishar Club scored 136 runs in 20 overs. Sahil Gupta top scored with 34 runs, while Deepak Dogra contributed 31 runs. Tushar and Pankaj Sasan chipped in with 16 and 13 runs respectively. For Samar Club, Kaka bagged 2 wickets, while Chetan, Raman, KK and Vishwajeet claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Samar Club chased the target in 17.2 overs by losing 5 wickets. Ramdayal top scored with 35 runs, while Chetan, Monu and Raman contributed 28, 26 and 18 runs respectively. For Ishar Club, Pankaj Sasan took 2 wickets, while Somay Jain, Deepak Dogra and Pavit Singh Ishar claimed one wicket each. Ramdayal was adjudged man of the match.
The match was officiated by Kulbir Singh, Harcharan Babloo and Ginni, while JS Michael is the organizing secretary of the tournament.
