JAMMU, Oct 7: Sainik Colony and Young Rovers registered resounding victories over their rivals in the ongoing Senior Division Football League Tournament, being held at GGM Science College Football ground, here today.
In the first match, Sainik Colony defeated Jammu Sports by two goals to nil (2-0). The first goal was scored by Dharam Singh in 40th minute, while the second goal was scored by Harsharan Singh in 55th minute.
In another match played today, Young Rovers defeated Engineers XI by four goals to one (4-1). The goal scorers were Rahul Sharma in 15th and 60th minute, Sachin Khajuria in 45th minute, Rahul Ghai in 50th minute and Vinood Bhatia in 65th minute.
The matches were officiated by Suresh Gupta, Rakesh Kumar, Sohan Kumar, Rooney and Amardeep Singh.
Jammu United will take on Musa Club at 3:30 pm tomorrow.
