Sainik Colony FC to lock horns against JK Bank XI in finals

JAMMU, Feb 16: Trouncing their rivals conductively in semifinals and league matches of the ongoing 1st Atal Bihari Vajpayee Memorial Football Tournament, Sainik Colony FC and J&K Bank XI sailed into the finals and will lock horns with each other tomorrow.
The tournament is being organized by Shaheen Football Club under the aegis of J&K Football Association (DFA Jammu) at GGM Science College Football Ground, here today.
In the first semifinal match, Sainik Colony FC defeated Udhampur City FC by 1 goal to nil. The lone goal was secured by Kartik in the 15th minute of the game.
In the second semifinal match, the match remained a draw between JK Bank XI Vijay Club which was decided via tie-breaker wherein J&K Bank XI won the match by 5 goals to 3 and sailed into the finals of the ongoing series and to face Sainik Colony FC at the same venue tomorrow.
Narinder Gupta (Ex. Member Sports Council), Rakesh Kumar, David Masih, Yousaf Don, Rajesh Sumbria, Clint Mattoo, Peter Sandhu and Ramesh Chander (Org. Secretary & International Player) were present during the event.
Ricky, Satnam, Shivam and Aryan were the matches’ referees.
