JAMMU, Aug 3: Sahyog Committee, Bari Brahmana is organizing Volleyball Tournament on August 15.
This was stated by secretary of the committee Rakesh Singh during a press conference here today.
He said that in this tournament a total 16 teams are going to participate. The winner team will be awarded with Rs 11,000 and runner will be awarded with Rs 8,100 cash prize with individual prizes.
This year the committee has also decided to organize the women tournament, he said, adding that the winner team of women will be awarded with Rs 3,100 and runner with Rs 2,100.
He requested the teams to submit their entries before August 12 to Bhagwan Dass.
The main motive of the tournament is to encourage the youngsters and to promote the game in the rural areas, he added.
Among others present were Dharm Paul, president, Tarsem Singh Sambal, Ghulam Hazrat Ali, organizer, Uttam Sharma, Shashi Sharma, Mulkh Raj, Rash Paul and Karam Paul.
