Sachin lifts 13th Akhali-Buttan Dangal title

REASI, Jan 23: Wrestler Sachin of Delhi lifted 13th annual Akhali- Buttan Dangal title by defeating Babba of Kot Bhalwal in the 1st malli main bout, organised at Village Buttan, here today.
Wrestler Sachin was adjudged as the best wrestler of the Dangal which was organized by Akhali- Buttan Dangal Committee in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association. The title winner wrestler was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 15000, while runner-up wrestler Babba got Rs 10000.
SDPO Katra Surinder Singh Ballouria was the chief guest, whereas Shiv Kumar Sharma president J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association presided over the function. SHO Katra Nishant Gupta, Retired Joint Director BOSE Koushal Kumar Sharma, Surinder Bhagat president District Reasi Democratic Azad Party and Sarpanch Roshan Kumar of Sherpur were the guests of honour.
The Dangal was organized under the supervision of the village organising committee.
The second main bout winner was Billu of Hosiarpur by defeating Vikas of Dera Baba Nanak in (Punjab) and were awarded by Rs. 12000 and Rs 9000, respectively, while in the 3rd bout Surjeet Singh of J&K Police defeated Wrestler Sonu of Delhi and the 4th bout was won by Diillar of J&K Police by defeating Billu of Punjab.
The proceedings of the Dangal were conducted by Naresh Kumar (Pappu lakri) while the welcome address was presented by Sarpanch Ravi Kumar Sharma. The vote of thanks was presented by Shiv Kumar Sharma.
Other bout results were Chota Muneer of Domail trounced Anil Kumar of Reasi, Sanjay of J&K Police beat Chinu of Hosiarpur, Billu of Panjgarian defeated Bablu of Bishnah, Gourav of Kathua beat Mirzu of Jammu, Arjun of Jammu defeated Samloke of Nomian, Ajay Sharma of Udhampur beat Sudam of Hossiarpur, Youv Raj of Jammu defeated Zakar of Lallian, Dinu of Kathua beat Billu of Kot Bhalwal, Ali of Kathua defeated Amit of R.S Pura and Rajesh Sharma of J&K Police trounced Virender of Delhi.
