SRINAGAR, May 29: The S P College Sports Board today organized the Annual College Road Race for boys from Nehru Park to Nishat Bagh Srinagar.
About 85 students participated in the race. The Principal of the college flagged off the event at 6:00 am. Tanveer Ahmad of B.Sc. Part 1st finished first with the timing of 6.29.25 while Zahid Hamid Parray of B.Sc. Part 1st finished 2nd with the timing of 6.29.45. Muhammad Muzaffar of B.Sc. Part 1st finished third with the timing of 6:30.20.
The Principal of the College highlighted the importance of curricular and extra-curricular activities before the prize distribution function held at Alamdar Park Nishat Bagh Srinagar and encouraged the students to take part in the forthcoming Intra and Inter College and other activities. The Principal presented the trophies along with track suites and jogging shoes for the first three position holders.
In addition, all the participants were awarded medals for their participation in the event. The Principal thanked the Doordarshan, CMO Srinagar, Traffic Police and other media persons for extending their cooperation in making the event smooth and successful.
