Rural Sports Competition of Block Bhalwal under RGKA gets underway

JAMMU, Sept 17: Rural Sports Competition of Block Bhalwal under Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan (RGKA) got underway at Govt Higher Secondary School Bhalwal, here today.
The Competition was inaugurated by Principal Higher Secondary School Bhalwal, Sarsa Ram, while Zonal Physical Education Officer Bhalwal, Veena Tickoo was present on the occasion.
Prominent  among others present on the occasion were Meenakshi, Renu Saproo, Gulbir Singh, Ram Murti and Ram Paul.
188 players of Block Bhalwal participated in the event.
The competitions are being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports under the patronage of its Director General and the chairmanship of its Joint Director, Jammu, Madan Lal.
The competition is being held under the overall supervision of Sukhdev Raj Sharma, DYSSO Jammu and the matches were conducted under the supervision of Veena Tickoo, Zonal Physical Education Officer.
The Competition was held in the disciplines of Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Badminton and Wrestling in Under-16 boys age group.
The matches were officiated by Sunil Abrol, Ajeet Singh, Ajmer Singh, Bhalwan Singh, Jatin, Sukhdev Singh and Arti Thakur.
