JAMMU, Dec 19: Rommy Sports Cricket Club (RSCC) and YCC Bhaderwah got better of their rivals to advance in the ongoing 2nd Jammu Tawi Premier T20 Cricket Tournament at GGM Science College Hostel Ground, here today. In the first match, RSCC defeated NCC by a margin of 14 runs. Bating first, RSCC scored a modest total of 113 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 10 wickets in the process. Puneet top scored with 35 runs, while Sahil and Sidharth contributed 29 and 13 runs to the total, respectively. For NCC, Vijay took 3 wickets while Somay and Inderjeet claimed 2 and 1 wicket, respectively. In reply, NCC bundled out for a paltry total of 99 runs in 19 overs. Deepak and Manish were the top scorers with 27 runs each, while Mohit chipped in with 17 runs. Rahil took 5 wickets, while Bansi Lal and Raman bagged 3 and 2 wickets, respectively RSCC. Rahil was adjudged man of the match. In another match, YCC Bhaderwah drubbed JKP XI by 54 runs. Batting first, YCC scored a decent total of 144 runs in stipulated 20 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. Aabir scored magnificent 55 runs, while Rahul and Zahid contributed 46 and 22 runs to the total, respectively. Nishu took 2 wickets for JKP XI, while Ambrose and Pankaj claimed one wicket each. JKP XI in reply, managed to score 90 runs in 15.4 overs. Manjeet top scored with 39 runs, while Farooq and Pankaj contributed 16 and 11 runs, respectively. For YCC Bhaderwah, Aaqib took 4 wickets, while Rahul and Shahroz bagged 2 and 1 wicket, respectively. Rahul was declared man of the match. The matches were officiated by Rajinder Singh, Sandeep, Sohail and Ankan.
