MENDHAR, Sept 24: Inter-Tehsil Kho-Kho (Girls) Tournament was organized by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Romeo), in association with the locals of Mendhar.
The tournament showcased the sporting skills of girls from teams of Mendhar, Surankot and Mandi.
The final match was played between the teams of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Mendhar and Govt Girls Higher Secondary School, Harni with Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Mendhar emergng victorious, defeating Govt Girls higher Secondary School, Harni.
The civilians applauded the effort of the Army in organizing such activities which would generate a feeling of goodwill in the civil population especially the youth.
The event was witnessed by school children and eminent persons of the area.
