JAMMU, Nov 2: Cricket and Carom tournament of Chhatral Youth Club members was organized by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Romeo), with the active co-operation of the Chhatral Youth Club, Chhatral.
The tournament showcased the cricketing and carom skills of players from nearby villages of Chhatral. The final cricket match was played between the teams of GGMS, Chhatral and Modern Educational Institute, Nadol. GGMS, Chhatral emerged victorious, defeating Modern Educational Institute, Nadol by 28 runs.
In carom final, GHS Kalaban defeated GHSS Chhatral to win the title.
Speaking on the occasion the chief guest exhorted upon the players to make the best use of such a platform and display sporting talent upto the maximum level. He also laid emphasis on the importance of games and sports in the overall development of the youth.
