REASI, Aug 8: The Rashtriya Rifles battalion at Bagga under the aegis of Rashtriya Rifles Uniform Force Headquarters based at Reasi, in an endeavour to promote sports in remote areas of Pir Panjals donated sports and ancillary items to the students of Government Middle School, Sarh in Mahore, here.
The goodwill project by RR has won accolades from the local populace especially the youth who are hopeful that impetus to sports will yield rich dividends and encourage students to pick up sports as a career.
The Sarpanch of village Sarh, Mohd Afzal was thankful to the RR battalion for contributing sports items to the school and said that, the effort will motivate the children to pursue sports and games as they impart values like equality, friendship, sportsmanship and unity in diversity.
