JAMMU, Dec 22: Roots-The Montessori House celebrated Annual Day with enthusiasm and fervour, here today.
The classes were decorated beautifully depicting the Christmas, Diwali, Dussehra, Eid Baisakhi and Gurupurab festivals. Children narrated ‘Nativity Story’ and ‘Diwali story’ in a classroom situation against the backdrop of the festivals.
The alumni of the school were also felicitated with certificates by Kanta Mahajan, Vice Chairperson, KC Public School. The tiny tots performed the dance medley and narrated stories integrating the spirit of different festivals.
The young children also displayed their talent in music by playing the keyboard. The taekwondo champions also gave a demonstration of their skills and were awarded certificates for their achievements.
Madhu Kuthiala consultant of the school from Delhi appraised the parents about the integration of ‘smart classes’ and ‘story telling’ in school curriculum and collaboration with ‘English for Life’ to hone the speaking skills of the tiny tots.
The function concluded as per the tradition with the graduation ceremony of the outgoing children.
